The
Beacon B&B is located on Double Hills, Heart’s Delight, Newfoundland,
Canada with a panoramic view of Trinity Bay. It is a six acre site, part
of which is landscaped and part of which is maintained in its natural
state. The property has a variety of interesting plant life. The Pitcher
Plant, national plant of Newfoundland, grows in several locations on the
property. It is one of the rare carnivorous plant species. You will also
see Labrador Tea, Bog Laurel, and wild Rhododendron. Blueberries are
numerous in season, as are Partridge Berries (mountain cranberries)
which are commonly featured in Newfoundland cooking.
